Affinity Group - LGBTQIA+ Educators

Hello All,

I am working with a local that has created a variety of affinity groups alongside their district's human resources office to address the needs of educators that are linked in a variety of ways. Recently, the local association reached out to me with an interest in creating an affinity group for LGBTQIA+ educators in their district.  As I've researched my own state, I have not found that this has been done as of yet.  This is a great opportunity for the local to once again take the lead on creating an affinity group alongside their HR office. However, they are at a loss as to where to begin.  I am curious of other states/locals that may have created such a group alongside their HR office and how the group got up and going as well as how they've sustained it.
